Co-op Academy Clarice Cliff celebrates national recognition in the Pearson Teaching Awards

Co-op Academy Clarice Cliff is celebrating after receiving national recognition in the 2026 Pearson National Teaching Awards.

The academy's whole school team has been named a Bronze Winner in the prestigious Award for Making a Difference – Primary School of the Year category, recognising the collective commitment, dedication and impact of staff across the school community.

The Pearson National Teaching Awards celebrate excellence in education across the UK, recognising individuals and teams who make a significant difference to the lives of children and young people.

Alongside the Bronze award, several members of staff were recognised with Certificates of Achievement in their respective categories:

  • The Early Years Team – Early Years Team of the Year
  • Amanda Harris, Assistant Headteacher and SENDCO – The Award for SEND and Inclusive Practice
  • Sophie Scott – Outstanding New Teacher of the Year
  • Dario Ciccotti – Unsung Hero

Emma Day, Headteacher at Co-op Academy Clarice Cliff, said:

The awards were celebrated as part of National Thank a Teacher Day on 17 June, when the full list of winners was announced and recognised nationwide.
