Connell Co-op College celebrates exceptional results and exciting next steps for students
Connell Co-op College is celebrating an exceptional set of results, with students achieving their strongest high-grade performance in recent years across both A Level and Applied General qualifications.
This year, around 60% of students achieved a high grade in all three of their qualifications, reflecting the hard work, determination and ambition of Connell students, alongside the dedication of staff who have supported them throughout their studies.
But for Connell, results day is about more than grades. It is about what those achievements make possible next.
This year, students are celebrating a diverse range of destinations, from highly competitive university courses in Medicine, Dentistry and Law to sought-after degree apprenticeships with leading employers including Barclays, KPMG, PwC and Grant Thornton. Others are progressing directly into employment, further study or international opportunities, including sports scholarships in the USA.
An impressive 88% of students secured their first-choice university and course, giving them the opportunity to take their next step in the direction they have worked towards throughout their time at Connell.
“We are incredibly proud of our students and the results they have achieved this year. These results reflect their hard work, resilience and ambition, as well as the commitment of our staff and Trust to helping every student achieve their potential.
“It is particularly pleasing to see such strong high-grade performance across both our A Level and Applied General programmes. But results day is about so much more than the grades themselves, it is about seeing our students take their next steps and pursue the futures they have worked so hard to achieve.
“Whether that is progressing to university, securing a highly competitive apprenticeship, entering employment or pursuing opportunities overseas, we are incredibly proud of every student and wish them every success for the future.”
