Supporting attendance with HH Global

Being in school every day makes a really big difference. Not just for learning, but for children’s confidence, wellbeing and sense of belonging.
That’s why we’ve been working with our long-standing partner HH Global to support attendance across our academies.
This spring, they provided every academy with a £30 voucher to use as a reward for good attendance. Each school used this in a way that worked best for their community - from prize draws and Easter treats to rewarding 100% attendance.
At Co-op Academy Medlock, the vouchers built on earlier support from HH Global, who also helped fund new musical instruments for pupils.
Jen Edmondson said:
“The support from HH Global has been brilliant. These rewards give our students that extra encouragement to be in school every day, which is where they need to be to succeed.”
Other academies got creative too:
- Clarice Cliff used the voucher to buy Easter eggs so more students could benefit
- Stoke ran a ‘Countdown to Easter’ prize draw
- Hamilton and Northwood are using them as end-of-term rewards
- Belle Vue recognised students for their commitment during Science Week
This is just one part of the wider support from Lee Hodgson-Winfield (Account Director at HH Global) and his team this academic year, helping us remove barriers and support our students in practical ways.
The HH Global team shared their perspective on the partnership:
"At HH Global, our company values focus on loving our clients, pursuing excellence relentlessly and to have passion and pride in all that we do. As Co-op's managed print services provider since April 2020, our Social Value Action Plan has developed over time.
In early 2024, we completely re-invigorated our Social Value Action Plan to deliver more value back to the focus areas defined by Co-op. Aligning against the three Co-op Social Value focus areas (Equal access, Peace of mind, sustainability) and collaborating with the Co-op Procurement Team, we designed a plan to have both immediate and lasting impact.
Since 2024 we have engaged multiple stakeholders across The Co-operative Group, Co-op Academies and Barnardo’s (Co-op’s lead charity partner) - listening to their challenges."
