Last Friday saw a fantastic afternoon of trust-wide athletics for our academies. Held at Co-op Academy Grange on 1 March, 24 Year 8 students brought their A-game, competing in both track and field events. They showed great determination, teamwork and skill!

We’re passionate about providing these extra-curricular opportunities for our academies to get on board with. Whether it’s our Trust Spelling Bee or the recent Dragon’s Den competition. Students’ whole-school experience is extremely important, and when students can network with peers in other academies, they’re able to build their confidence and social skills. 

Our sports competitions are always a fantastic way to have fun, improve physical fitness and massively contribute to positive mental health and wellbeing. 

Congratulations to Co-op Academy Priesthorpe who won Gold in the girls’ event and Co-op Academy Grange who brought home Gold for the boys’ event! 

Next up will be Year 7’s competition later this month, followed by our annual Panathlon event on the 22 March.
