Safeguarding Officer

  • Contract type - 37 hours per week Monday to Friday inclusive. 39 weeks per year - Term time plus five training days (you’ll be paid in 12 monthly instalments)
  • Salary range - SO1 (New SCP 23-25), FTE: £27,741-£29,577 . ACTUAL: £24,079-£25,673

Safeguarding Officer at Co-op Academy Grange:
  • You’ll be a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, working with the Designated Safeguarding Lead to ensure safeguarding procedures, policy and practice is exemplary within the Academy.
  • You’ll support the operational management of safeguarding and child protection activities across the school and contribute to the assessment of students and offering advice to colleagues at all levels.
  • This is a key role in which you will help maintain a Safeguarding ethos within the academy based on Keeping Children Safe in Education, the safeguarding and child protection policy and the Co-op values.
Interested? You’ll possess appropriate Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), advanced safeguarding qualifications and have GCSE Maths and English Grade C/4 and above, or equivalent. You’ll have experience of working as a Child Protection Officer or DSL and demonstrate experience of behaviour management strategies and working with challenging students.
