Project Manager- New Academies

  • Contract type - Permanent, Full-time
  • Salary range - £60k - £70k
  • Location - 1 Angel Square, Manchester with travel required across Northern England

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team at Co-op Academies Trust. We are looking for a Project Manager role to ensure that the complete process for bringing new schools/ academies into the Trust is managed smoothly, effectively and in adherence to tight deadlines that have been set by the Board in conjunction with DfE. The role will also require working with new schools/ academies in the immediate three months post transfer to ensure a smooth onboarding process.

Essentially the role is having a good understanding of legal, HR, finance (preferably including PFI contracts), property, governance and pupil/ student outcomes within an educational environment.

Additionally, the role will involve the project management of large capital projects across all Academies across within the Trust, including liaison with Academy leadership, and with contractors.

Central to this role is being an effective ambassador for the Trust who can engage well with all internal and external stakeholders and have a sound educational understanding of school/ academy transfers. This is an interesting and exciting challenge to deliver an ambitious growth strategy.
