We’re looking for two Parent Governors!

PARENT GOVERNOR ELECTION

We are seeking to appoint 2 parent governor(s) to our Academy Governing Council (AGC).

Governors have an important and influential role to play in the life of our academy.  They work with academy leaders to make sure that the academy is doing its very best to keep pupils safe and help them achieve their potential. Parent governors are elected by the parents of pupils at the academy to serve a four year term of office.  You may, if you wish, put yourself forward for election, using the nomination form. You may also nominate another parent, but you must seek their approval before submitting the nomination. Please read the information attached below on the nomination form.

 

The timetable for the election is:-

  1. Invitations to submit a nomination for a parent governor role issued on 22/03/2022.
  2. Nomination forms to be returned to me by 12.00 noon on 20/04/2022.
  3. Ballot papers to be sent to all parents on 21/04/2022. Voting will only take place if there are more nominations than vacancies.
  4. Ballot papers to be returned to me by 12.00 noon 5/05/2022.
  5. The votes will be counted on the 6/05/2022 after which the result will be announced.

 

 

NOMINATION AND ELECTION PROCESS

Parents are asked to nominate themselves using the Parent Governor Nomination Form attached below or available from the school office from 22/03/2022 to 12.00 noon on 20/04/2022.   The nomination form needs to be completed and submitted in the sealed box located in the school office in a sealed envelope for the attention of the Headteacher / Returning Officer.  If you are unable to submit it at school, please send it for the attention of the Headteacher / Returning Officer to info@cooppriesthorpe.co.uk

 

The results of the election will be announced on 6/05/2022.
