Contract type: 1 x Permanent and 1 x Fixed Term Maternity Cover
Salary range: £31,895 – £35,336 per annum
Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire (LS28 5SG) |Opportunities for remote working during school
Closing date: Monday 08 August 2022 at 9am
Start Date: ASAP

We’re looking for a talented and enthusiastic HR Advisor to further reinforce and join our People Team in West Yorkshire, based at Co-op Academy Priesthorpe, LS28 5SG.

As the lead HR professional across a designated portfolio of academies, you’ll work closely with Headteachers, Principals, and leaders to move forward ‘people issues’ in line with academy priorities and our distinctive values and ways of being.

You’ll raise the profile of Human Resources through the provision of high-quality advice and guidance across the full range of HR activity, establishing yourself as a key professional advisor whilst at the same time embedding systems, policies, and procedures and ensuring that they are underpinned and secured through robust quality assurance and feedback.  As such, the role demands a colleague with real gravitas; someone who can effectively challenge, support, and influence a range of colleagues and partners in and outside of an Academy.

Largely supporting Co-op Academy Priesthorpe (approximately three days per week) and allocated primary academies, our Hub HR Advisors work in a dynamic environment and flex in line with the needs of our academies.  Primarily based on-site during term-time, you will be a visible and professional presence in our academies, with the opportunity to work remotely on occasions, where appropriate.  In support of a healthy work-life balance, there are increased opportunities to work more flexibly and remotely during school holiday/closure periods.

Previous experience in providing pragmatic, creative, and commercially focussed solutions across a range of ER casework is essential, as is CIPD accreditation and sound knowledge of Employment Law and practice.  Whilst HR experience or knowledge gained within education or Local Authority settings/contexts would be desirable, applicants who can demonstrate an ability and appetite to develop their knowledge in this sector are welcomed.

As a colleague in our Trust, you’ll work collaboratively across a talented and diverse team, striving to deliver an outstanding working and learning experience for all.  Further information about the Trust and our People Team can be found in the Candidate Pack.  Please visit to download the candidate pack and Application Form.
