We are looking for an exceptional Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead to support the academy in Safeguarding our students. The successful candidate will be the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) for the Academy. They will lead the Academy’s daily response to safeguarding concerns and referrals. keeping up-to-date, accurate and secure records of students with Child Protection Plans. Ensuring that all Looked After/Vulnerable/At risk students are given the appropriate care, guidance and support and are able to access the school curriculum/removing any barriers to their learning, liaising with the Pastoral team when necessary. The successful candidate will also take part in strategy discussions and inter-agency meetings and contribute to the assessment of children. Deputising for the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and fulfilling the responsibilities as outlined in Keeping Children Safe in Education.
The successful candidate will possess good communication, literacy and numeracy skills. A commitment to continuous improvement. Enthusiasm, adaptability. A positive outlook and a willingness to be fully involved in school life.
