Co-op Academy Priesthorpe is seeking a highly skilled, ambitious and resilient individual to join our
Academy Leadership Team. You will be a proven leader, with experience of whole school improvement
and have the drive and ability to contribute significantly to the strategic direction and development of the

This Assistant Principal post offers the opportunity to join a growing Multi Academy Trust, and as our
leadership structures develop, we intend to increase capacity in core areas of our improvement strategies:

  • Teaching and Learning
  • Student Support (Pastoral and inclusion provision)
  • Curriculum development

You will apply your leadership skills to an area of expertise, within these core strands of the Academy
Raising Achievement Plan. You will have accountability for the strategic development of an area of
responsibility, and be able to develop, lead and apply improvement strategies, which result in significant
whole school impact. You must also be an accomplished classroom practitioner, whose teaching has
consistently realised excellent student outcomes, and have the credibility and integrity to act as a role
model within our community.

In order to succeed in the post, you will have experience of leading and developing teams, creating a
culture of high expectation and have knowledge of systems and protocols for robust Quality Assurance,
