We are seeking to appoint a motivated and committed individual to the role of Academic Mentor. You will be part of a team responsible for providing support in addressing the needs of our students who require help to overcome barriers to learning. Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will also work closely with classroom teachers to facilitate learning.
To be successful in this role you will need to be well organised, confident and work well as part of a team. Previous experience in a similar role or classroom experience will be useful but not essential. However, flexibility, resilience, good numeracy and literacy skills and excellent communications skills will be key.
Our core co-operative values define us. Every member of staff in our academy follows our ‘Ways of Being’;
- Do what matters most
- Be yourself, always
- Show you care
- Succeed together
And these with respect, commitment and trust underpin our culture.
Application form, job description and person specification are available from our academy website: http://www.northmanchester.coop/vacancies and from The Co-op Academies Trust website at http://www.coopacademies.co.uk/work-with-us/vacancies.
Completed applications should be returned to the Academy by email to Mrs M Campbell-Jones at firstname.lastname@example.org by 9am on Friday 5th November 2021. Successful applicants will be invited for interviews week beginning 8th November 2021.
