Assistant Finance Manager (Greater Manchester)

Location: Co-op Academies Trust, Manchester Hub, Co-op Academy Belle Vue, 450 Hyde Road, Manchester, M12 4BA

Salary: £37,904 - £43,258

We are looking for an Assistant Finance Manager to join the Greater Manchester team at Co-op Academies Trust, the role will report directly to the Finance Manager.

As the Assistant Finance Manager, you will assist the Finance Manager in the administration of all financial aspects of the finance and accounting function for our academies in Greater Manchester, ensuring that all company policies and procedures are observed, and completing the day to day administrative activities.

The Assistant Finance Manager will assist the Finance Manager in all stages leading to the preparation of all monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and analysis to the Trust. You will also be responsible for the inputting and review of Payroll information.

The successful candidate will have the following experience and skills:

  •  Ideally experience of working in the education sector.

  • Be able to demonstrate experience of processing a high volume of transactions.

  • Excellent level of IT Skills, utilisation of key Microsoft products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).

  • Excellent communicator and able to connect with all levels in the school with the ability to motivate your colleagues.

  • Effective organisational skills; able to prioritise tasks and self-manage a workload.

  • Approachable and professional

  • Have a strong eye for detail
