Steve Brice

Steve took up post as Principal at the Co-op Academy Manchester in April 2014 having worked previously as a senior leader in Lancashire and Hertfordshire. Steve has worked in outstanding schools as well as taking schools from an Ofsted category to ‘good’.   Since Steve took up post, the academy has been judged as ‘good’ by Ofsted with Leadership and Management being rated as ‘outstanding’.

Being a drama and music specialist, Steve has a keen interest in the Arts and is an experienced composer and director.  Steve has previously led on curriculum development, data and assessment and teaching and learning.  Developing teaching and learning remains Steve’s core passion and he sees this as fundamental to our academies’ continued improvements.  In addition, Steve has an interest in exploring 21st century learning and how this can further improve our offer and lead to even more engaging and relevant experiences for our students.

In his spare time, Steve is a keen musician although is kept equally busy by his two young daughters and menagerie of pets.
