How well does our trust compare against the eight largest MATs
This week Sir David Carter, the recently appointed national schools commissioner suggested that he wants to put trusts with 30 or more schools at the top of a new four-tier system, with chains expected to prove they are capable of expanding before moving between tiers.
Sir David (pictured), said these system leaders would play a “broader role” in the academies programme and be accountable directly to him, rather than being assigned to a regional schools’ commissioner as they currently are.
The journal Schools Week compared the performance of the eight largest trusts in terms of Ofsted outcomes. Please click the link to see ours. Charts.pdf. We thought it would be interesting to compare our trust’s performance against these ‘system leaders’.
