Manchester Creative & Media Academy
Manchester Creative & Media Academy joined the Co-op Academies Trust in 2016. The Academy is going through an important stage, just three years after moving into an incredible £38million building.
We believe that our focus on high aspirations and expectations are an essential element to ensuring that all our students have the skills that are necessary to go on to lead happy and successful lives. We encourage respect for ourselves and for others and are committed to developing a range of skills both within and beyond the classroom through our broad and balanced curriculum and our additional extra-curricular offer. Our state of the art building is utilised fully in order to enhance the opportunities for all our students.
The Manchester Creative and Media Academy is a place where staff, students, parents and carers work together in order to achieve the very best for everyone. Rebecca Smith joined the Academy as Principal at the start of 2014 and says of her time there "I am very proud of the significant improvements that we have already made, and are continuing to make. Our 2015 GCSE results showed a significant rise in the progress and outcomes of our students and this was further enhanced when the academy was the most improved GCSE performer in the city in 2016. Iis testament to the hard work and commitment of all who work and learn at MCMA."
